Kevin Ellis and Dream Guitarworks have been commissioned to build a guitar for the artist Gregory Dale Holland. Gregory Dale Holland is a singer-songwriter from Greenville, S.C who performs folk pop and Americana music. His music is highly influenced by greats like John Denver, Harry Chapin, Arlo Guthrie, James Taylor and Bob Dylan. His acoustic guitar and harmonica bring you back to times past when music was clear and meaningful. Original songs such as Highlands, Sweet Words Don't Mean A Thing and Terminal Of Strange Faces are songs with great lyrics which showcase his songwriting talents. Kevin Out Looking for Wood
Kevin has a fascination with exotic woods and unique trees. Whenever he and his wife Kathy are on trips they love to visit gardens and other outdoor scenic areas.
Kevin Featured in September Edition of Verge Magazine.
In August, publisher Matt Plocha and editor Lara Plocha agreed to do an article on Kevin for the local Verge newspaper/magazine.VERGE is a grassroots endeavor- locally and independently owned. The VERGE provides the CSRA information about local events, people, places and community opportunities. The VERGE is a powerhouse of freelance writers, designers and photographers. Kevin was excited and nervous about the opportunity. Journalist and photographer Christopher Selmek made Kevin feel at ease. He did a great job with the article. 2011: Kevin meets with Howard Paul and Bob Benedetto!
Kevin had another opportunity to meet with Bob Benedetto this year. (Pictured to the left: Kevin, nephew Freddie and Bob). Howard Paul, talented Jazz guitarist and President/CEO of Benedetto Guitars in Savannah, GA. gave Kevin and his guests a personal tour of the Savannah shop in early May. The Benedetto crew were friendly and forthcoming as always. The tour was most interesting!
Kevin meets Bob & Cindy Benedetto!
Kevin had the opportunity to meet Bob & Cindy Benedetto in October 2009. Bob Benedetto is widely acknowledged as today’s foremost maker of archtop guitars. Bob & Cindy were most gracious in allowing Kevin to tour their workshop in Savannah, Georgia. Kevin was allowed to play Bob's guitars. They were magnificent. Craftsmanship was awesome!
John Corabi at Rock Bottom Music!
Kevin was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to set up John's guitars prior to his gig in Augusta, Georgia on February 21, 2011. John Corabi is best known for his work in Motley Crue and RATT. He is great musician and showman in his own right. He possesses a lot of soul!
